ELAC Program Information
Purpose of Program
The purpose of ELAC's program is two-fold:
- Provide classroom based English Language Training as well as exposure to Canadian culture through field trips. Currently, this program has been contracted to the highly respected Seneca College - English Language Institute.
- Provide classes in other disciplines such as Taekwon-Do, drama, music.
Overview of Program
English Language Academy of Canada (ELAC) will prepare and provide a specially designed 6 weeks non-credit English Language program on a half day basis. This program may be hosted by ELAC, a Canadian College or University associate.
The subsequent major (Martial Arts, Music or other requested disciplines) would constitute the second half of the day. ELAC's program are designed according to your needs and are only available for students 18 years or older.

How the Program Works
ESL Program (morning)Language Focus Portion: Students will study English using the communication method and integrated skills approach.
Classes will include guest speakers and presentations. The multimedia computer lab is made available daily to students to work on their language skills. Canadian Cultural Portion: The Canadian culture will be studied in relation to the students’ field trips, activities and sightseeing. |
Elected Discipline (afternoon)Approximately 100 hours of experience in the elected discipline (e.g., Taewkon-Do, music, drama).
There is potential to obtain a certification or other achievement diploma, to the successful candidate (e.g., achievement of Black Belt in Taekwon-Do). |
Objectives for Our Students
