Sample Program: ESL & Taekwon-Do 
Individualized to Meet Your Needs


ELAC will collaborate with reputable Canadian colleges, universities and schools to deliver high-quality English as a Second Language programs.  In addition, ELAC will work together with Canadian-based associates that offer exciting experiences in elected disciplines such as Taekwon-Do, music and drama.  

​The following is a sample outline for the Academic English Language Program & Taekwon-Do Option:


Sample ESL & Taekwon-Do Program

  • Six week program
Purpose of Academic English Language Program:  The ELAC English Language Program will provide English Language Training, Canadian Culture and Field Trips.                                                                                                                              Currently, this program has been contracted to the highly respected Seneca College - English Language Institute.
  • Purpose of Martial Arts (Taekwon-Do) Program:  This program may provide Black belt instruction in the Korean martial art known as Taekwon-Do.  There is: 
             a)      Potential of achieving an official Taekwon-Do instructor certification when all requirements are met
             b)      Potential of opening a Taekwon-Do studio in your home country

ESL (Morning)

Academic English Language program component includes: 
  1. 20 hours of class per week
  2. 5+ hours of lab per week
  3. Books and headsets
  4. Post student access to computer lab from students’ home country 24/7 for the length studied at school

Taekwon-Do (Afternoon)

  1. Approximately 100 hours of instruction in Taekwon-Do - self-defense.
  2. The traditional belt ranking system will be used to bring the novice to a level of competence.
  3. Socialization with Canadian Taekwon-Do students and an opportunity to use the newly acquired English language in a non-classroom setting.

* Note:  Both programs are non-credit but are accompanied with an official certificate from each institution, at completion of programs.
